Behind the scenes: album concept

As I wrote on Thursday, my album is finished. And today I’d like to share some of my thoughts behind it.

What’s the main idea in the album?

Since I’m very passionate about the Cosmos, the Universe, the stars and everything above our heads the album will be about the Space, too — about our Solar System to be more precise. The main concept is to make each track in the album representing one planet in our Solar System. Being honest it’s not easy task as every planet is so different from each other, but that’s what makes life so complex and interesting as it is, and that’s what will make the album a completely engrossing journey, I hope. Each track as a planet, from Mercury to Neptune, have an absolutely unique sound, feelings and mood.

What inspires me for the creative process?

Working on the album doesn’t mean the only production, I watch a lot of documentary films and read articles and books about our Solar System and the Universe in general — that’s the parts of workflow too. And at the same time, it’s inspiring a lot. But not only this. Since I living in sunny Israel, the Sea and the Sun around is a huge inspiration source too.

When album release is expected?

Although music production part is finished, now it’s time for another important thing such as mastering, cover art and distribution. I can’t say for sure when it will be done, but I hope the album will see the light either in December of this year, either January 2014.
